Between the Cards
This blog is where I explore tarot, astrology, myth, Jung, and the symbolic language that helps us make sense of our lives. Some entries are practical, some poetic, some are reviews, and others are reflective. Each is rooted in the belief that meaning emerges when we pause, observe, and ask better questions.
If you’re drawn to thoughtful mysticism, psychological insight, and stories that linger, you’re in the right place.
A Winter Solstice Reading
Perception itself is changing. What's buried isn't the old self but rather an old, interpretive framework. Judgment underground becomes a sort of incubation for symbolic vision where one can see life mythically rather than literally. In Alchemy, this is the putrefaction before resurrection where vision must rot before it can become revelation. Most importantly (like the last reading), no action is necessary at the moment, but one can trust that perception IS changing.
Readings are about perception
In the Jungian process, there is a concept called “holding the tension of opposites” and the point is NOT to resolve the conflict, but to allow something ELSE to emerge (a third different kind of thing) Alchemy teaches that transformation happens by staying with the tension.
Color Field Tarot: A Deck for Everyone and Nobody by minjung
In this deck, the concept of Force and Form intertwine. Force is typically associated to a “masculine energy” while Form is associated to a “feminine energy”. I mention this because this particular deck has a way of neutralizing these energies into another “third thing” where this balance of systems and intuition create a message.
