glitch bottle: Uncorking the uncommon

Hosted by Alexander Eth, “The Glitch Bottle Podcast is a Western magic and grimoire-focused show that uncorks the uncommon with magic, mysticism and the generally misunderstood.”
This is one of the most unique podcasts I’ve encountered. The production is clean, the content is superb, but it’s the host, Alexander Eth, who really makes it special. He takes the time to learn, read, understand who he interviews, he shares listener questions, but most of all, he let’s the guest do all the talking. A host who is quiet and listening really makes an impact.
The guests on Glitch Bottle come from various backgrounds, studies, and practices. Many episodes have an academic approach, while others explore the different approaches to magic and the occult. The consistent exploration into grimoires, schools, projects, and esoteric concepts has taught me that there isn’t any one right way to “magic” - that the experience is full of limitless potential. It’s an incredibly inspiring podcast.

What magic is this?

This is another great podcast that will introduce you to different people, different works and modes of the occult and will even discuss the supernatural such as UFOs. We don’t know everything there is to know (and probably never will), but I always enjoy a podcast that invites listeners to wonder about other possibilities, and hopefully it will inspire you to explore the rich history of the occult and become a participant in your own right.
A few of my favorite people have been guests on this podcast: Peter Mark Adams, Alexander Eth, Alexander Cummins, Aidan Wachter etc.

This Jungian Life

This podcast is hosted by three Jungian analysts: Lisa, Joseph, and Deb, “as they engage in lively, sometimes irreverent conversations about cultural currents, family dynamics, personal issues, and more through the depth psychological lens provided by Carl Jung.
The very fact that this podcast centralizes on the teachings and thoughts of Carl Gustav Jun already makes it special. But it’s more than that - they explore themes in fairy tales, dreams, and archetypes. The discuss human experiences such as conflict, death, and love. Furthermore, they will look at Jung himself, how he processed certain experiences, his own shadows, and other applications of his work.
Most of the guests are Jungian Analysts who have usually written a book or have a specific area of focus/study within the realm of Jungian psychology. My personal fascination of the “Hag” archetype is what drew me to this podcast, shared with me by a friend, specifically, the episode, “HAGITUDE: Sharon Blackie on the power of Aging.”
