Local Travel (DFW Area):
Travel within 30 miles of zip code 75067 is included.
Beyond 30 but fewer than 60 miles: $20 additional charge
Parking, valet, tolls, or venue-required fees must be covered by the host.
Extended Travel / Out-of-Town Events:
Events over 60 miles may require lodging or an extended travel stipend.
Travel fees are due at the time the deposit is paid.

Please read this before booking your event. It ensures clear communication and a meaningful experience for both of us.
Cancellations:
If I (the Reader) Must Cancel
In the rare event that I am unable to attend due to illness, accident, emergency, or circumstances beyond my control:
You will be notified immediately upon discovery of the issue.
I will make every effort to secure a qualified substitute reader whose professionalism and skill align with my standards. You will be notified before a substitute is confirmed.
If a substitute is not available or you prefer not to use one, you may choose:
A full refund of your deposit, or
A full credit toward a future event
If rescheduling is possible, I will make every effort to accommodate a new date.
No additional fees will be charged to the host for cancellations initiated by me.
If the Host Cancels the Event
If the host needs to cancel for any reason:
Please notify me as soon as possible.
The 25% deposit is non-refundable under all circumstances.
Cancellations made 7+ days before the event: Deposit may be transferred once to a new date, pending availability.
Cancellations made within 7 days: Deposit is forfeited and cannot be transferred.
Cancellations made within 48 hours: The remaining balance may still be due because the reserved time cannot be rebooked.
Weather-related cancellations by the host follow the same rules: deposit is non-refundable but may be transferred one time.
If the event cannot proceed due to venue issues (unsafe conditions, no table/chairs, extreme noise, or outdoor weather disruptions), it is treated as a host cancellation.
Weather & Safety:
If weather or conditions make travel unsafe, the event may be rescheduled without penalty.
Deposits & Payments
A 25% non-refundable deposit is required at the time of booking to secure your event date and time.
Your event is not officially reserved until the deposit is received.
The remaining 75% balance is due within 24 hours after the event (same day preferred).
Late payments may incur a late fee and may impact future bookings.
Deposits are non-refundable but may be transferred once to a new date if rescheduled at least 7 days in advance, pending availability.
Event Space & Set Up

To provide a high-quality experience, the host must provide:
One table and two chairs in a quiet, low-traffic area.
A space free of smoke and strong fragrances.
Adequate lighting; if the event is dimly lit, please notify me in advance.
A minimum of 10 minutes for setup and breakdown.
A covered, protected area for outdoor events.

- Readings typically run 5–15 minutes per guest, depending on event needs.
For large events, a guest list or ticket system is recommended to ensure fairness.
The number of people I can read depends on the selected format; guidance is available upon booking.

If you'd like to extend my time during the event, I accommodate extensions when possible.
Overtime is billed in 30-minute increments at my standard event rate.
Overtime fees must be paid before additional time begins.

Guests may take photos of their cards or reading area with permission.
No audio or video recording of readings unless approved beforehand.
Event photography of the setup is welcome; I avoid sharing identifiable guest photos without permission.

If you are sick, please notify me as soon as possible; we can reschedule.
If I arrive to find a guest or host visibly ill, I may modify or shorten the reading experience for safety.

If the event schedule runs behind due to factors outside my control (e.g., speeches, meal delays), my contracted end time remains the same unless overtime is purchased.
I will arrive 30 minutes early to set up and ensure everything is ready on time.
